Key Responsibilities
- Employee Documentation: Receive and verify employee packs to ensure all necessary documents are completed accurately.
- Payroll Collaboration: Work closely with the payroll department to prepare, capture, and ensure submission of documents before the cut-off date.
- Point of Contact: Act as the main contact for store employees, addressing inquiries about HR policies, procedures, and resolving queries efficiently.
- Administrative Support: Perform general administrative duties, including filing, data entry, and maintaining accurate HR documentation.
- Recruitment: Lead recruitment efforts for operational-level employees, including bulk hiring. Source candidates, conduct interviews, and manage background verification and induction processes.
- Employee Relations: Address employee requests, queries, and complaints, escalating unresolved issues to the relevant personnel.
- HR Compliance and Records: Maintain employee files, manage uniform issuance, and assist with disciplinary inquiries, Department of Labour, and CCMA cases.
- Policy Implementation and Improvement: Assist in implementing and improving HR systems, policies, and procedures to enhance overall efficiency.
- Training and Development: Support training initiatives and assist in the development of employees to foster a culture of continuous learning.
- Industrial Relations Support: Assist in managing industrial relations and ensuring compliance with relevant HR policies.
Requirements
- Education: Diploma in Human Resources is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in HR, with a background in recruitment, employee relations, and administration.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office Suite.
- Location: Must reside in Venda.
- Languages: Fluent in Venda and Tonga.
- Skills: Excellent communication, management, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail.
