Job Overview:

Clover is seeking a detail-oriented Stock Controller to join our dynamic production team. This permanent role is essential for maintaining the smooth flow of raw materials and stock management, crucial for optimizing supply chain operations and inventory control.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor and Control Stock:

• Oversee and manage all stock movements, including ordering, receiving, transferring, and dispatching goods to ensure optimal inventory levels.
• Adhere to stock management best practices in accordance with RH instructions and participate in quarterly logistics and financial audits.
• Conduct regular cycle counts (daily, weekly, monthly) to maintain accurate stock records.
• Monitor the quality of incoming stock (raw and packaging materials) to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Utilize Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and a 12-week master plan to control stock levels effectively.
• Provide detailed reports on stock-related issues, ensuring transparency in supply chain management.

Perform Administrative Duties:

• Accurately record and manage data/transactions within the Clover accounting system to ensure seamless inventory management and financial tracking.
• Assist in the preparation of annual fixed and variable cost budgets, supporting financial planning and forecasting.
• Capture and process return documentation, such as container/pallet counts, ensuring precise stock control.
• Generate purchase orders for consumables and lab testing materials, optimizing procurement processes.

Manage Staff:

• Ensure the optimal utilization of staff through effective leadership and consistent application of company policies.
• Train and develop team members to enhance performance and support continuous improvement in stock control processes.
• Conduct regular meetings to maintain open communication channels and foster a collaborative work environment.
• Set objectives and manage the performance of subordinates, driving productivity and achieving departmental goals.

Requirements:

• Education: Grade 12 or equivalent NQF4.
• Experience: Demonstrated experience in stock control, supply chain management, or related logistics fields.
• Skills:
  • Proficiency in Business English.
  • Intermediate computer literacy, with a strong understanding of inventory management systems.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
