Job Description:
BUCO Somerset West is seeking a diligent and reliable General Assistant to join our team. This role focuses on assisting customers and suppliers with various tasks, ensuring that the yard and store areas are maintained and that vehicles are loaded and offloaded efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities:

• Order Preparation & Vehicle Assistance:
  • Prepare and provide customers and drivers with accurately prepared orders.
  • Assist with loading and offloading vehicles promptly and efficiently.
• Customer & Supplier Support:
  • Offer immediate and effective assistance to customers and suppliers during the loading and offloading of vehicles.
  • Support with workshop/joinery tasks as needed.
• Yard & Store Maintenance:
  • Ensure yard stock items are neatly packed and easily accessible.
  • Maintain clean and safely loaded vehicles.
  • Accurately complete Wash Bay activities.
  • Keep store shelves, boards, and stock items neatly organized and accessible for customers.
• Company Values & Culture:
  • Uphold and promote the company values and culture in all interactions and tasks.

Requirements:

• Educational Qualification:
  • Grade 12 (Matric)
• Skills & Knowledge:
  • Basic product knowledge relevant to the retail environment.
