Job Description:
As a Confectioner, you will be responsible for the entire baking process, from mixing ingredients to packaging the final product. You’ll create a range of baked goods, including bread, cakes, pastries, and more. This role offers you the chance to share your love for baking while ensuring that every product meets our high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Baking Process: Perform the entire baking process, including mixing, fermenting, baking, cooling, and packaging.
- Recipe Management: Follow and create recipes accurately, and adjust ingredient quantities based on production needs.
- Product Preparation: Prepare fillings, apply glazes, and decorations.
- Equipment Operation: Operate slicing, wrapping machines, and other cooking equipment efficiently.
- Inventory Management: Manage supplies, inventory levels, and equipment orders to ensure smooth operations.
- Safety and Hygiene: Store ingredients safely and maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the bakery.
- Quality Control: Ensure consistent high-quality baked goods, monitor baking progress, and adjust oven temperatures as needed.
- Coordination: Coordinate bakery deliveries and manage supply storage.
Requirements:
- Education: Matric.
- Proximity: Must live within 15km of the job location.
- Record: Clear criminal record.
Preferences:
- Experience: 3-5 years as a Confectioner or Baker.
