Are you passionate about logistics and safety management? SAB is seeking a skilled Brewery Logistics Manager to oversee brewery and regional distribution, inventory, and warehousing functions. This role is pivotal in optimizing customer service levels and achieving productivity benchmarks while upholding ABInBev’s safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Safety Management:
- Work Environment: Ensure a safe and healthy working environment for all stakeholders, adhering to legislative requirements and safety standards.
- Risk Management: Conduct quarterly safety reviews with Logistics and Supply Directors to identify and address risk trends. Perform annual risk reviews and implement mitigation plans.
- SIO System: Maintain a robust system for SIO (Safety Incident Operations) generation and close-out.
2. Quality Assurance:
- Quality Guidelines: Ensure logistics teams adhere to quality guidelines to deliver stock per ABInBev’s standards.
- Inventory Management: Manage DOC (Date of Creation) and stock age to proactively address potential write-off risks and collaborate with Planning, Sales, and Supply.
3. DPO/VPO Standards:
- Meeting Routines: Adhere to Daily, Weekly, and Monthly meeting routines as per DPO (Distribution Process Optimization) and VPO (Visual Production Optimization) guidelines.
- Operational Standards: Conduct daily logistics meetings, standardize processes through SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), and apply problem-solving tools for out-of-range KPIs.
4. Service Level Optimization:
- Carrier Management: Maintain relationships with T1 & T2 carriers to ensure consistent brewery throughput.
- Glass Return: Collaborate with RD’s (Regional Distributors) and Planning Team to manage glass availability and support service levels.
- Inventory Policy: Ensure strict adherence to Inventory Policy and manage SLAs (Service Level Agreements) with Fleet, Quality, and Sales/CIC.
5. Cost Management:
- Budget Adherence: Drive adherence to flexed budgets, manage Brewery Logistics spend on VLC (Variable Logistics Costs), FLC (Fixed Logistics Costs), and SCOH (Stock Cover and Holding).
- Financial Accountability: Account for over/underspends on a weekly and monthly basis.
6. People Management:
- Team Alignment: Align shop floor teams with goals and meeting routines to drive continuous improvement.
- Employee Development: Conduct monthly one-on-ones, maintain industrial relations, manage engagement survey results, and oversee recruitment and talent pipeline.
Profile & Qualifications:
- Educational Requirements:
- Logistics degree or another relevant 3-year degree.
- Experience:
- Familiarity with local market environments and knowledge of legislative requirements and customer service principles.
- Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and planning skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, adapt to change, and demonstrate leadership.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and decision-making abilities.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
