Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Leadership & Planning:

  • Distribution Process Optimization (DPO): Lead the implementation of DPO to enhance operational efficiencyand ensure cost-effective solutions.
  • Project Management: Take charge of departmental projects, negotiating contractor costs to secure the best possible pricing and maximize return on investment (ROI).
  • Resource Optimization: Regularly assess and manage machine and manpower resources, ensuring optimal utilization to achieve productivity benchmarks.
  • Team Development: Foster a culture of excellence by managing the growth and performance of your team, aligning strategic insights with the Depot Business Plan.
  • Budget Management: Develop and oversee the department’s annual budget, with a strong focus on controlling fixed and variable costs to drive profitability.
  • Peak Planning: Implement robust planning strategies for critical periods to maintain business continuity and meet customer demands efficiently.

2. Operational Management:

  • Master Data Management: Ensure the accuracy and integrity of customer and driver data, aligning with best practices in data management and process mapping.
  • Customer Service Optimization: Conduct bi-annual customer service evaluations, leveraging feedback to drive customer satisfaction and improve service quality.
  • Compliance & Trade Visits: Plan and manage trade visits, ensuring strict adherence to regulatory complianceand SLA standards.
  • Return Process Management: Oversee the full beer return process, optimizing workflows to minimize waste and enhance supply chain efficiency.

3. Safety & Compliance:

  • Safety Standards Enforcement: Lead the enforcement of safety protocols, with a focus on mitigating risks and promoting a culture of workplace safety.
  • Contractor Management: Manage third-party logistics (3PL) contractors, driving performance improvements and ensuring alignment with contractual obligations.
  • Supply Chain Optimization: Oversee supply chain transfers, ensuring they are executed in line with strategic objectives and SLA requirements.
  • SLA Compliance Monitoring: Regularly review SLAs, collaborating with stakeholders to address and rectify noncompliance, and ensuring continuous performance improvement.

4. Performance & Budget Management:

  • Weekly Performance Reviews: Lead weekly departmental performance reviews, utilizing data-driven insights to address trends and develop proactive strategies.
  • Contractor Payment Analysis: Prepare and analyze contractor payments, ensuring alignment with budgetary constraints and financial objectives.
  • Fleet Management: Optimize the size and mix of the delivery fleet, ensuring cost-effectiveness and compliance with legal requirements, while maintaining high standards of product quality.
  • Cost Control & Budgeting: Manage departmental costs, driving adherence to the CAPIN budget process, and optimizing asset utilization for maximum efficiency.

5. Leadership & Development:

  • Employee Development: Invest in your team’s growth through targeted training and development programs, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Performance Management: Set clear performance expectations, manage outcomes effectively, and communicate regularly to ensure alignment with organizational goals.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Education: A B.Sc./ B.Tech / HND in a related field is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years’ experience in logistics and supply chain management.
  • Skills:
    • Advanced proficiency in MS Office and other relevant software.
    • Strong leadership skills with a focus on compliance and regulatory adherence.
    • Creative problem-solving abilities.
    • A strong work ethic, dependability, and a positive attitude.
    • Self-motivation and the ability to work independently.
