Key Purpose:

The Warehouse Controller is responsible for implementing and maintaining ABInBev safety standards. This role involves managing the inventory and warehousing functions to optimize customer service levels and meet benchmarked productivity standards. The position also entails implementing standard operating processes in line with DPO (Distribution Process Optimization) standards and managing budgets in line with annual flexed targets.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Warehouse Operation Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with the 5S standard within the warehouse and track results.
    • Cascade global policies and ensure adherence by all warehouse staff.
    • Implement and manage business cycles, SLAs, process maps, and KPI indicators.
  • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs):
    • Develop and validate SOPs, ensuring understanding and compliance by all warehouse employees.
    • Manage team rooms through routine meetings to drive performance and solve problems.
  • Performance Tracking and Improvement:
    • Use management tools such as 5 WHY, Abnormality Reports, and PDCA to develop action plans.
    • Cascade KPIs and PIs to individual warehouse employees and monitor achievements.
  • Inventory Management:
    • Ensure daily compliance with inventory counts and policies.
    • Manage the process of destroying and writing off obsolete products in compliance with legal/environmental requirements.
    • Identify root causes of inventory count variances and implement action plans to improve accuracy.
  • Layout Implementation and Compliance:
    • Ensure adherence to warehouse layout for various activities (e.g., Empties zone, Refusal zone).
    • Track and manage warehouse tools to ensure ABC compliance and improve efficiencies.
  • Quality Standards and Safety:
    • Manage and improve warehouse cleanliness, pest control, and temperature control.
    • Implement a Location-Based Inventory System to identify stored products.
    • Create a quality induction program and ensure 100% compliance with training.
  • Picking and Sorting Standards:
    • Ensure adherence to standardized picking processes and ergonomic layouts.
    • Monitor and manage sorting KPIs and ensure positive outcomes.
  • Productivity and Capacity Management:
    • Ensure compliance with the Warehouse Labour Productivity GOP.
    • Develop and manage the Warehouse Capacity Utilization model to enhance efficiency.
  • Safe Warehouse Practices:
    • Maintain a safe warehouse operation by driving awareness and compliance with relevant safety protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 3-year relevant diploma/degree.
  • 3+ years of experience in warehouse and/or logistics (advantageous).
  • Highly proficient computer skills (MS Office, Oasis, handheld devices).
  • Proficiency in SAP.
