Job Description:

RCL Foods is seeking a Security Shift Supervisor to join their team in Randfontein. The role involves overseeing the security and safety of the site, managing security personnel, and ensuring the smooth operation of security functions related to incoming and outgoing trucks and products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Security Management:
  • Supervise and manage Security Officers.
  • Ensure the correct number of guards is on site at all times.
  • Conduct regular plant security inspections and audits.
  • Oversee site patrols and accompany security officers.
  • Address and follow up on all irregularities reported by security officers.
  • Ensure corrective actions are taken promptly.
• Vehicle and Product Control:
  • Manage access for incoming and outgoing vehicles.
  • Assist in identifying irregularities on trucks and take corrective actions.
  • Ensure all necessary documents are submitted when raw materials are offloaded and issue exit permits as proof of delivery.
  • Liaise with the weighbridge regarding truck weight discrepancies.
• Contractor Management:
  • Verify contractor compliance and manage contractor activities.
  • Coordinate evacuation activities as needed.
• Safety and Health:
  • Act as the Responsible First Aid Representative on site.
  • Complete Injury on Duty (IOD) forms and transport patients to the hospital if required.
  • Identify and report safety hazards and conduct safety inspections.
• Administrative Duties:
  • Ensure correct and timely invoicing for Grocery/Raw material trucks and loads.
  • Provide support for front desk security clerk and weighbridge responsibilities.
  • Ensure continuous identification of all drivers.

Minimum Requirements:

• Educational Qualification:
  • Grade 12
  • Security Officer Grade qualification
• Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Security Supervisor.
  • At least 2 years of experience in dealing with customers/visitors.
• Skills:
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Strong supervisory and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle security and safety-related issues effectively.
