Job Description:

RCL Foods is looking for a dynamic and highly motivated Stores Maintenance Clerk to join the baking business unit. This role involves maintaining and organizing records, data, and information related to maintenance and repairs within the company. Responsibilities include scheduling appointments, ordering supplies, tracking inventory, and assisting with budget management. The role requires strong organizational and communication skills and the ability to work closely with vendors and contractors to ensure efficient maintenance services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Management:
    • Maintain supplies inventory by checking stock levels and anticipating needed supplies.
    • Ensure the Maintenance office and storeroom are clean, organized, and OSHA compliant.
  • Maintenance Coordination:
    • Perform routine inspections and respond to maintenance requests from staff members.
    • Schedule and oversee maintenance contractors to ensure timely and efficient services.
    • Serve as backup to the Maintenance Administrator as needed.
  • Budget Management:
    • Ensure that all ordering is within the approved budget.
    • Compile data from supplier invoices and supporting documents to verify the accuracy of billing data and confirm receipt of ordered items.
  • Communication:
    • Communicate effectively with vendors and contractors to ensure maintenance tasks are completed efficiently.
    • Write reports and maintain accurate records related to maintenance activities.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Education and Qualification:
    • Matric (Grade 12).
    • A maintenance qualification is advantageous.
    • Valid driver’s license.
  • Experience and Skills:
    • Minimum of 2 years’ maintenance experience within the FMCG environment.
    • Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
    • ERP system experience is advantageous.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Report writing and interpersonal skills.
    • Logical thinking and influence.
