Job Overview:

Adendorff Machinery Mart is seeking a Repairs Technician for our Gezina branch in Pretoria. This role is ideal for a technically inclined individual who excels in hands-on repairs and maintenance of tools and machinery. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring our products are serviced and maintained to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Product Servicing and Repairs:
  • Perform pre-delivery inspections, servicing, and repairs for a range of products, including power tools, welding machines, compressors, small machinery (petrol & diesel engines, generators), and PC boards (an added advantage).
• Troubleshooting and Maintenance:
  • Conduct troubleshooting and preventative maintenance tasks to ensure the optimal functioning of equipment.
• Work Area Management:
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of all maintenance and work areas daily.
• Inventory Management:
  • Requisition spares and consumables as needed and ensure the safekeeping of base stock.

Job Requirements:

• Technical Skills:
  • Hands-on experience with the repair and maintenance of power tools, welding machines, compressors, and small machinery.
  • Technical knowledge of mechanical systems is essential.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers at all levels.
• Education:
  • Senior Certificate required.
• Experience:
  • 2-5 years of hands-on experience in maintenance and repair is preferred.

Desired Skills:

• Technical and mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to perform electrical repairs.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• High motivation and the ability to work independently.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Salary:
  • Negotiable with benefits available.
• Working Hours:
  • Monday – Friday 08:00 – 17:00
  • Saturday 08:00 – 13:00
