Job Overview:

Adendorff Machinery Mart is seeking a young, energetic Retail Shop Assistant for our Springfield – Durban Branch. This role is perfect for someone interested in tools and machinery, with a passion for customer service and retail. Key Responsibilities:

• Merchandising:
  • Arrange and display products to ensure a visually appealing and organized store.
• Customer Service:
  • Assist customers with inquiries, providing advice and guidance on tools and machinery.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships through excellent service.
• Sales:
  • Support the sales team in achieving sales targets and promoting the company’s products.
• Stock Control:
  • Assist with stock taking, stock control, and ensuring accurate inventory management.
• Retail Branch Procedures:
  • Adhere to branch procedures to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Education:
  • Senior Certificate (Matric) required.
• Experience:
  • Previous experience in the Automotive, Engineering, Tools and Machinery environment is preferred.
  • Experience in Merchandising, Stock Taking, Stock Control, and Retail Branch Procedures is an added benefit.
  • Technical knowledge in DIY or Hardware environments is highly advantageous.
• Skills:
  • Strong merchandising skills, customer service skills, and ability to support sales.
  • Reliable, honest, and a strong team player.

Compensation and Working Hours:

• Salary:
  • Negotiable with benefits available.
• Working Hours:
  • Monday – Friday: 08:00 – 17:00
  • Saturday: 08:00 – 13:00
