Job Overview:

OneCart is seeking a skilled Technical Support Technician to join our dynamic IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our computer systems, networks, and user support services. This role involves installing, configuring, and maintaining IT systems to ensure high functionality and security, as well as providing technical support to internal teams. Key Responsibilities:

Technical Support:

  • System Setup: Install and configure workstations, routers, printers, and other peripheral devices to ensure seamless operation.
  • Hardware Maintenance: Regularly check computer hardware (HDDs, keyboards, etc.) to ensure functionality and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
  • Software Management: Install and configure software applications according to specifications, ensuring systems are updated and performing optimally.
  • Network Management: Develop and maintain local networks to optimize performance, ensuring security and privacy of networks and systems.
  • User Support: Provide orientation and training to users on new software and hardware, and offer ongoing support to resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues, including repairing or replacing faulty parts and debugging software.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • System Integrity: Maintain and enforce organizational standards for system performance and integrity.
  • Problem Resolution: Analyze and address recurring technical issues, providing recommendations for improvements to support services.
  • Service Excellence: Ensure a high first-time fix rate, minimizing the need for follow-up visits and maintaining strong customer relationships.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor hardware stock levels and place orders as needed, ensuring all equipment is in working order.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Maintenance Logs: Keep accurate records of repairs, fixes, and maintenance schedules, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with IT team members, assisting with various tasks to achieve common goals and maintain effective teamwork.

Job Requirements:

  • Education: Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Certifications: IT Technician certification (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional) is advantageous.
  • Experience: Proven experience in IT support or a related position, with strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Knowledge of IT Service Management tools such as Freshdesk, Manage Engine, or Zendesk.
    • Experience with VOIP systems.
    • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and Modern Workplace environments.
    • SQL knowledge is beneficial.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Customer Focus: Dedication to providing top-notch customer service with high integrity.
