### Stores Clerk – Western Cape

**Introduction:**
Intercape is looking to recruit a Stores Clerk at our Western Cape Depot. This role is essential for managing our inventory efficiently and ensuring that stock is available when needed.
**Duties & Responsibilities:**
**Issuing of Stock:**
– Receive approved requisitions for parts required on Move from technicians.
– Establish parts availability and communicate with the technician.
– Book parts that are in stock out onto the job card.
– Pick correct parts and quantities from the bin and ensure the technician receives stock on Move.
– Follow up on outstanding orders and provide feedback to the technician.
– Close off parts requests on Move and manage stock during stock takes and off-site work.
– Maintain a record of diagnostic equipment issued to technicians.
**Receiving of Stock:**
– Receive shipments, inspect contents, and verify packages according to order and invoice.
– Label deliveries and allocate them to their designated place.
– Ensure invoices are sent to data capturers and create bin locations for new parts.
– Follow RFC process for parts not used by the workshop.
**Inventory Control:**
– Ensure that all parts handed across the counter are booked out and that all stock received balances with the delivery note.
– Keep stock levels up to date and shelves clean and tidy.
– Investigate stock variances and assist with weekly and monthly stock counts.
– Manage the A1 (Buyouts) location and be vigilant about stock theft.
**Diesel Stock:**
– Conduct diesel dips twice daily and accompany the diesel supplier during deliveries.
– Ensure all documentation is given to data capturers immediately after receipt of stock.
**Warranty Handling:**
– Log warranty claims on the Move system and ensure all warranty parts are returned to stores from the workshop.
– Label and store warranty parts properly and alert the warranty administrator of any pending claims.
**General:**
– Operate non-revenue vehicles and lifting equipment as necessary.
– Maintain a clean and tidy work area.
– Manage all parcel shipments and actively look for ways to help people.
– Be dependable, reliable, and thorough in completing tasks.
– Be honest and ethical.
**Human Capital:**
– Ensure leave is loaded on the internal system as per business requirements and leave policy.
– Report personal injuries on duty immediately and ensure relevant documentation is completed and submitted to the HC department.
**System Management:**
– Responsible for the effective utilization, accurate capturing, and thorough record-keeping on all relevant systems.
– Identify staff training needs applicable to all Intercape Systems.
**Desired Experience & Qualifications:**
**Qualifications:**
– Grade 12
**Experience:**
– Minimum of 3 years of stock control and storeman experience.
– Valid driver’s license required.
**Knowledge / Abilities:**
– Proficient knowledge of the company, its divisions, associates, people, products, terms, and services.
– Ability to perform general administration tasks, work under pressure, meet multiple deadlines, and handle conflict and stressful situations professionally.
– Focus on providing high-quality work.
– Willing to work shifts.
