**Requirements:**
– Grade 12 or relevant NQF level 4 qualification
– BSc Degree advantageous
– 0-1 year of relevant working experience

**Key Duties:**
– Administer sorting and distribution of samples according to standard operating procedures
– Process sample registration and queries
– Dispatch specimens for processing and monitor progress and report filing
– Perform hospital rounds to distribute reports and collect samples
– Handle and refer administrative queries and customer complaints
– Track progress of sample delivery to ensure timely processing and results
– Investigate bottlenecks in pre-analytical laboratory processes and resolve challenges
– Maintain basic housekeeping in the working area
– Monitor stock levels and order additional stock
– Represent the organization professionally and ethically with medical professionals and staff
– Manage the reception area and direct clients to relevant departments
– Receive cash from patients and ensure proper banking of monies
– Report incidents, log customer complaints, and read and action tasks on the laboratory information management system
– Prepare and scan patient forms onto the laboratory scanning system and resolve scanning incompletes
– Adhere to Lancet uniform protocols
