Job Description

A leading service provider of communication solutions is seeking a dynamic and driven Digital Services Sales Specialist in both Cape Town and Johannesburg to source and acquire new leads and convert these into sustainable sales and ongoing client relationships.  The successful candidate will be responsible for selling and driving new digital sales including WhatsApp for Business, Business Messaging, iSite, SVSMS/SMS, Email and other online platforms.
 

The ideal candidate should be a confident energetic self-starter with the ability to work within an ever-changing, exciting and competitive environment. This role is a new business development role which involves identifying leads and new business opportunities and then promoting the suitable digital services which would enhance the client’s ‘business to business’ communication channels. This role’s focus is to maintain a healthy target market pipeline to ensure lead conversion. There is a position available in Cape Town as well as one in Gauteng. 

Responsibilities:

 
  • Sell and drive new business sales for all the digital services comprising of WhatsApp for Business, ChatBot, ChatBox, Live Agent support, iSite, SVSMS and emailing communication with new and existing customers. 

  • Proactively build relationships with existing and new customers from entry level up to the executive level.

  • Actively participate in and ensure successful hand-over of new customers to the respective area of business after implementation. 

  • Ensure billing to customers is complete and correct based on agreed pricing structures/contracts.

  • Demonstrate the ability to be both target and deadline driven.

  • Operational requirements of this role could include flexible working hours which might, at times, include after-hour work. 

Requirements

  • Own, or have access to transport on a daily basis and a valid driver’s license.

  • Preferably a minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Areas of study which are preferred are Sales and Marketing, Information Technology and Communications (ICT), B. Com. 

  • A minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience, preferably in sales and marketing. 

  • Track record of selling and building relationships at senior levels within corporate organisations.

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.

  • A team player across departments and supporting teams.

  • Initially, the position will be full-time work from the office and the Company at its sole discretion can decide that it could become a mixed work from home and reporting to the office. Stable internet connectivity and back up internet access solutions from home is required.
