The Workshop Foreman role at Hyundai The Glen provides an excellent opportunity for experienced automotive professionals to lead a team of technicians, ensure operational efficiency, and maintain the highest standards of vehicle maintenance and repair services.
Position Overview
The Workshop Foreman is responsible for overseeing daily workshop operations, supervising technicians, and ensuring timely, high-quality repair and maintenance work. This role requires a proactive leader with technical expertise, strong organizational skills, and a customer-focused approach.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional mechanical knowledge, leadership abilities, and operational management skills, ensuring efficient workflow, safety compliance, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities

Supervise and manage a team of technicians, providing guidance, direction, and mentorship

Monitor and prioritize work orders to ensure timely completion of all vehicle repairs and maintenance

Conduct quality control checks to ensure adherence to Hyundai and Motus service standards

Coordinate with the parts department to maintain availability of necessary materials

Develop and implement training programs to enhance technical skills of workshop staff

Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant workshop environment, enforcing all safety policies

Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members

Communicate with customers regarding repair progress and resolve complaints professionally

Ensure effective use of diagnostic tools, computerized systems, and workshop software
Minimum Requirements
Education and Training

High school diploma or Matric
-
Technical qualification, automotive certification, or related training preferred
Work Experience
-
Minimum 3 years of experience in automotive repair
-
At least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role
Skills and Competencies

Strong mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills

Excellent leadership, team management, and communication abilities

Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced workshop environment

Proficiency with computerized diagnostic equipment and workshop management software
