Position Overview
The Storeman will be based in Centurion and will manage stock levels to ensure continuous production while maintaining accurate records, proper stock rotation, and efficient warehouse operations. The role ensures that stock is moved, recorded, and monitored according to company procedures, and all engineering, lubrication, gas, oil, and chemical supplies are readily available for production teams.

Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 / Matric certificate.

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a FMCG environment.

Good organisational and administrative skills (Advanced Excel, MS Teams, Email).

Forklift driving license.

Knowledge of stock management systems, preferably SAP.
Key Responsibilities
-
Manage stock levels to ensure continuous production.
-
Rotate stock according to First In First Out (FIFO) principles.
-
Verify that goods received correspond with orders, delivery notes, and invoices.
-
Record date and time of receipt and ensure all relevant paperwork is signed.
-
Document short or over deliveries and coordinate with suppliers.
-
Handle returns to suppliers accurately using Goods Returned Notes.

Hand over documentation for receipting to the Receiving Clerk.

Expense stock on SAP and move received stock to allocated bin locations.

Conduct daily spot checks on stock and facilitate monthly stock takes; report variances.

Investigate missing stock and report to Senior Buyer and Plant Engineer.

Report engineering store issues and developments in daily meetings.
-
Request quotations and manage daily workflows using Microsoft Teams.

Communicate new received non-stock items to the engineering team.

Follow up weekly with suppliers on outstanding orders.

Maintain warehouse housekeeping standards.

Ensure availability of all lubrication, gas, oil, and chemicals for engineering operations, aligned with MSDS files.

Identify new stock items, track, and request material codes from Master Data.

Assist in weekly planning meetings, prioritizing special requests and required spares.
