Position Overview
The Senior Store Manager at Pedros is responsible for leading and overseeing the entire restaurant operation, ensuring that performance targets are met and exceeded. This includes managing people, products, processes, and profits to deliver outstanding customer service and operational efficiency.
This leadership role requires a hands-on, motivated professional with strong business acumen, customer service excellence, and team management skills. The successful candidate will be based in Sandown/Bayside, Cape Town, ensuring that the restaurant achieves top-tier performance aligned with Pedros’ brand standards.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Management

Oversee the daily operations of the restaurant and takeaway section, ensuring efficient service and food quality.

Maintain Pedros’ Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality control across all areas of operation.

Manage stock control, ordering, and purchasing to prevent shortages or overstocking.

Ensure daily opening and closing procedures are conducted accurately and on time.
Customer Experience & Service Excellence

Uphold the highest standards of customer satisfaction by resolving complaints effectively and promptly.

Train and motivate staff to deliver friendly, professional, and efficient service.

Implement customer feedback systems to enhance dining experiences.
Sales, Profitability & Marketing

Drive sales performance and ensure GP% and profitability targets are met.

Execute in-store marketing initiatives, promotions, and incentive programs.

Identify growth opportunities within the store to maximize revenue and operational efficiency.
People Management & Development

Recruit, train, and mentor employees to build a high-performing, motivated team.

Prepare and manage staff rosters, ensuring adequate coverage and productivity.

Conduct performance evaluations, coaching sessions, and disciplinary procedures where required.

Foster a positive workplace culture rooted in teamwork, accountability, and customer focus.
Health, Safety & Compliance

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food hygiene regulations at all times.

Oversee regular safety checks and audits to maintain a clean, safe work environment.

Maintain accurate documentation and ensure all operational areas meet legal standards.
Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 / Matric qualification (essential).

Minimum 3 years’ experience in restaurant or fast-food management.

Experience in GAAP POS systems will be advantageous.

Proven leadership, organisational, and customer service skills.

Strong problem-solving and communication abilities.

Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
