Position Overview
The Debtors and Creditors Clerk is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of customer and supplier invoices, managing accounts receivable and payable, and supporting the Finance Department in all related administrative and accounting functions.
The ideal candidate will have a hands-on approach to finance, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication skills to ensure smooth operations within the distribution centre and across Pedros’ business units.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Receivable (Debtors)

Process customer invoices accurately according to Pedros SOPs.

Run and review customer statements regularly.

Prepare and submit DC accounts on Hold register for review.

Manage and resolve customer queries efficiently.

Ensure timely and accurate recording of daily sales orders.
Accounts Payable (Creditors)

Process supplier invoices at correct price and quantity.
-
Prepare weekly POD files and prepayment listings for management review.

Assist with supplier queries and reconciliations.

Complete full creditors function including payment processing.
Finance Administration & Compliance

Support ad hoc finance administration functions as required.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in line with company and accounting policies.

Ensure compliance with internal controls and procedures.

Collaborate with team members to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
Minimum Requirements
-
Diploma or equivalent qualification in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
-
2–3 years of experience in a similar finance role.

Minimum 1 year experience in full Debtors and Creditors functions.

Hands-on experience with Sage 200 Evolution (1–2 years preferred).

Previous exposure to FMCG, fast food, or retail sectors advantageous.

Proficient in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.

Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organisational skills.

Effective time management, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation.
