Position Overview

Hollard is seeking a highly skilled and analytical Senior Business Analyst (Finance) to lead finance-focused business analysis initiatives that drive operational excellence and transformation.

This position plays a critical role in optimising finance processes, designing operating models, and integrating technology solutions that enhance business performance. The role involves engaging stakeholders, translating financial and actuarial requirements into system specifications, and supporting the delivery of complex projects that align with Hollard’s strategic goals.

The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in financial systems, data analytics, and business transformation, coupled with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.


Key Responsibilities

1. Requirements Gathering and Analysis

  • Engage finance stakeholders to identify, analyse, and document business requirements.

  • Facilitate workshops, interviews, and cross-functional meetings to capture user stories and functional specifications.

  • Develop business cases, perform cost-benefit analyses, and assess risks to support informed decision-making.

  • Ensure clear alignment between finance objectives and IT deliverables.

2. Process and Data Mapping

  • Map finance and actuarial business capabilities, processes, and data flows.

  • Recommend process improvements and automation opportunities to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

  • Guide stakeholders on best practices in financial data management and compliance.

  • Support the design and documentation of integrated systems and workflows.

3. Testing and Implementation

  • Participate in the development of system test plans and user acceptance criteria.

  • Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and System Integration Testing (SIT) to ensure solution integrity.

  • Collaborate with development and implementation teams to achieve successful system deployment.

4. Training and Adoption

  • Develop user guides and training materials for finance teams.

  • Facilitate workshops and change management activities to drive user adoption.

  • Provide post-implementation support to ensure successful transition to new systems.

5. Governance and Stakeholder Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors.

  • Ensure consistent alignment between business needs and technology solutions.

  • Contribute to governance frameworks and compliance initiatives across financial operations.


Required Knowledge and Experience

  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in Business Analysis and Process Mapping within Finance.

  • At least 4 years’ experience in the insurance industry (mandatory).

  • Deep understanding of financial and actuarial processes, accounting principles, and compliance frameworks.

  • Proven experience documenting finance and actuarial system requirements.

  • Strong working knowledge of data transformation, cleansing, and visualisation tools.

  • Familiarity with Data Mesh, MDM, and financial data lakes or warehouses.

  • Proficiency in SQL, Informatica, APIs, EDI, and ESB integration methodologies.

  • Exposure to AI, RPA, and Machine Learning applications in finance.

  • Experience in ERP implementation and system integration with platforms such as:

    • Oracle Fusion

    • SAP S4/HANA

    • Workday

    • OneStream

    • Anaplan

    • MS Dynamics 365 FO

    • Coupa

    • Blackline

  • Strong proficiency in MS Office, Visio, Jira, and familiarity with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.


Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Finance, Management Accounting, or related discipline.

  • Industry-recognised certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA) preferred.

  • Continuous professional development in Finance, Data Analytics, or Process Engineering will be advantageous.
