Position Overview
The Receiving Clerk is responsible for managing the receiving of all stock deliveries, returns, and buy-outs in accordance with BUCO’s operational systems. The role ensures that stock is accurately received, checked, labelled, stored, and reported, contributing to efficient warehouse operations and inventory management.
The ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and basic computer literacy, along with experience in a warehouse or stock-handling environment.
Key Responsibilities
Stock Receiving and Verification

Obtain and verify delivery notes from suppliers, agents, or company staff.

Match delivery notes to purchase orders to ensure accuracy.

Monitor deliveries to confirm correct quantities and conditions.

Ensure goods are correctly priced and labelled.
Stock Handling and Management

Locate, bin, and display stock efficiently.
-
Monitor and manage buy-outs and returned goods.
-
Count stock accurately during stock-takes.

Move, pack, and dispatch stock as required.
Reporting and Housekeeping

Report on damaged or missing stock.

Maintain orderly warehouse and storage areas.

Uphold and promote BUCO’s company values and culture in all activities.
Minimum Requirements

Matric / Grade 12 certificate.

Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar stock or warehouse role.

Experience in picking, receiving, moving, packing, and dispatching stock in a distribution centre.

Basic computer literacy.

Ability to work efficiently in a physically demanding environment.

Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and reliability.
