Position Overview
The General Assistant is responsible for supporting the smooth operation of the business unit by performing a variety of general assistance duties. The role requires flexibility, a customer-focused mindset, and adherence to BUCO’s company policies and procedures.
The ideal candidate will have strong operational awareness, good product knowledge, and a willingness to assist in multiple areas of the business unit.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service & Operations Support

Provide customers with their orders efficiently and accurately.

Assist with loading and offloading of vehicles.

Pack yard stock items for delivery or storage.

Perform wash bay activities and assist with vehicle cleaning and safekeeping.

Provide assistance to customers and suppliers in a professional manner.

Minimum Requirements

Matric / Grade 12 certificate.

Basic product knowledge related to building materials or retail.

Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, loading, and moving stock.
