Position Overview
The Buyer will be responsible for coordinating the purchasing and replenishment of stock for the business, ensuring approved suppliers are used, stock levels are maintained, and stock-outs are minimized. The role requires strong analytical, organisational, and relationship management skills to effectively manage suppliers and optimise stock availability.
The ideal candidate will have a retail or procurement background, experience in a computerised retail environment, and a commitment to upholding B4A’s company values and culture.
Key Responsibilities
Purchasing and Stock Management

Coordinate the purchasing and replenishment of all stock and buy-outs for the business.

Ensure that only approved suppliers are utilised for procurement.

Monitor and maintain pre-determined stock levels, preventing overstocking and stock-outs.

Manage out-of-stock and low-stock products proactively to ensure continuity.
Administration and Supplier Coordination

Perform accurate and timely procurement administration and reporting.

Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods.

Maintain and strengthen supplier relationships to improve efficiency and reliability.
Coaching and Team Support

Support and mentor team members where applicable.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve procurement processes.

Uphold and promote company values and organisational culture in all activities.
Minimum Requirements

Matric / Grade 12 certificate (essential).

Relevant post-school qualification (NQF5) with a Retail or Procurement focus (desirable).

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role within a computerised retail environment.

Strong knowledge of procurement processes, stock management, and supplier coordination.

Excellent numeracy, analytical, and organisational skills.

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities efficiently.
