Position Overview
The Workshop Assistant – Piet Retief plays a vital role in the maintenance, organisation, and efficient operation of the mechanisation workshop. This role is ideal for candidates who are physically fit, detail-oriented, and interested in basic mechanical work, supporting daily operations in a busy agricultural environment.
Minimum Requirements
Essential:

Grade 12 / Matric certificate.

Physically fit and capable of performing manual and workshop tasks.

Good verbal communication skills.

Reliable, punctual, and honest.

Ability to follow instructions and comply with safety procedures.
Advantageous:

Basic interest or aptitude in mechanical work or equipment maintenance.

Previous experience in workshop operations, mechanisation, or trade support.
Key Responsibilities

Assist with basic maintenance and repairs on agricultural equipment.

Load and off-load equipment safely and efficiently.

Clean and prepare parts and equipment for servicing.

Organise and store tools, consumables, and parts within the workshop.

Conduct physical stock counts and report discrepancies.

Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop and yard area.

Ensure proper waste disposal and compliance with workshop standards.

Follow all safety regulations and company procedures.

Be available to work overtime or weekends when required.
