Position Overview
The Warehouse Coordinator supports the Warehouse Controller in ensuring all safety, quality, governance, logistics, and productivity standards are met. The role involves managing warehouse operations that serve both internal and external stakeholders, maintaining smooth interfaces with packaging, brewing, inbound, and outbound logistics, and driving efficiency across the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities
Excellence Programmes

Implement and monitor VPO and DPO Excellence Programmes across the warehouse.

Ensure compliance with global warehouse standards and continuous improvement processes.
Safety Management
-
Conduct risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.

Collaborate with Fleet & Safety Supervisors to maintain forklift safety schedules.
-
Lead by example to promote a culture of safety and shared responsibility.

Investigate incidents to determine root causes and implement preventive measures.

Train and onboard new staff on warehouse safety standards and emergency preparedness.
Quality Assurance
-
Maintain 75% compliance with VPO and DPO Global Operating Procedures (GOPs).
-
Enforce product quality standards across inbound and outbound logistics.
-
Ensure proper stock storage and adherence to FEFO (First Expiry, First Out) policies.
-
Collaborate with QA teams for product inspections and release processes.
-
Track and analyse quality trends to identify root causes and improve KPIs.
Contractor and 3PL Management
-
Oversee contractor and 3PL performance in line with business strategy.
-
Conduct SLA reviews to ensure productivity and compliance.
-
Maintain strong partnerships and ensure all contractors adhere to SAFE requirements.
Statutory and Compliance Management
-
Ensure adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.

Comply with Department of Labour stacking exemptions and warehouse housekeeping standards.

Maintain full compliance with national legislation and internal governance.
Financial Management
-
Control overtime, contractor usage, and resource allocation.
-
Monitor general ledger accounts and ensure alignment with budgets and forecasts.

Implement financial optimisation plans to improve warehouse cost efficiency.

Manage SCOH (Supply Chain Overhead) costs and apply problem-solving tools for reduction.
Inventory and Stock Control
-
Oversee daily and monthly stock counts to ensure ERP alignment.

Mitigate risks associated with obsolescence write-offs.
-
Manage KPIs related to inventory accuracy, stock posting time, and DIO (Days Inventory Outstanding).
Inbound & Outbound Logistics
-
Coordinate delivery schedules, inbound planning, and outbound capacity management.

Monitor FTCT (First Time Cycle Time) and OTIF (On-Time In-Full) metrics.

Ensure seamless integration between packaging lines and brewing process areas.

Address stock discrepancies through root cause analysis and process improvement.
Operational Efficiency and 5S Standards

Implement and audit 5S compliance within warehouse operations.

Develop and manage warehouse capacity utilisation models to improve performance.
-
Drive continuous improvement through KPI management and productivity reviews.
Minimum Requirements
-
Relevant 3-year diploma or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.

Minimum 3 years’ experience in warehouse or logistics operations (manufacturing environment preferred).

Strong knowledge of SAP and advanced computer literacy.

Excellent planning, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work under pressure.

Demonstrated ability to coach, lead, and implement operational change.

Sound understanding of financial and safety compliance.
