Position Overview
The Stock Controller at Hyundai SA, Benoni is responsible for managing inbound and outbound vehicle stock, ensuring accurate stock records, maintaining stock levels, and safeguarding assets in compliance with company policies. The role is ideal for candidates who are detail-oriented, client-focused, and skilled in inventory management systems.
Key Responsibilities
Process & Operations:

Capture stock data on the system to ensure availability to customers.

Monitor stock levels and place orders proactively to prevent shortages.

Control and safeguard stock according to company policies and procedures.

Conduct regular stock counts, store items correctly, and report discrepancies.

Deliver on performance targets and service level agreements.
-
Identify operational challenges and escalate unresolved issues.

Record and report on work activities to support decision-making.
Finance & Efficiency:

Maximize process efficiency to reduce delays in stock distribution.

Execute stock management tasks accurately to support financial and operational objectives.
Customer Service:

Deliver exceptional service to internal and external customers.

Ensure stock availability aligns with customer expectations and operational requirements.
Team & Personal Development:

Minimum Requirements
-
Matric / Grade 12.
-
Certificate or Diploma in Inventory Management, Supply Chain, or related field.

1–2 years’ experience in stock control or inventory management.

Knowledge of inventory systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Physically capable of handling vehicle movement (Passenger & Light Trucks) and stock yard management.
Skills and Competencies

Proficiency in inventory management processes and systems (IMS software).

Attention to detail and accuracy in all stock handling processes.

Problem-solving skills to troubleshoot operational issues.
