Position Overview
The Debtors Clerk at Hyundai Bruma plays a critical role in managing accounts receivable, monitoring overdue accounts, and ensuring accurate collection of debts. This role is ideal for candidates who are detail-oriented, organized, and experienced in credit control, with strong communication and negotiation skills. The Debtors Clerk ensures timely payments, accurate reporting, and contributes to maintaining healthy cash flow.
Key Responsibilities

Monitor and manage the accounts receivable ledger for accuracy and timeliness.

Follow up on overdue accounts to ensure prompt collection of outstanding debts.

Reconcile customer statements and resolve discrepancies efficiently.

Communicate with customers to resolve payment issues and negotiate repayment plans.

Maintain and update financial records and debtors’ files.

Prepare and issue monthly statements to customers.

Provide regular debtors’ aging and cash flow reports to management.

Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.

Collaborate with the finance team to improve credit control policies and processes.
Qualifications and Skills

Proven experience as a Debtors Clerk or similar role in the automotive or finance industry.

Knowledge of accounting principles and credit control practices.

Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks).

Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to work independently.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Diploma or degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred.
