Position Overview

The Business Unit Manager: Mechanization is responsible for leading the Polokwane branch, overseeing Parts, Workshop, and Whole Goods operations, and ensuring profitable growth, operational efficiency, and exceptional customer service.

This role is ideal for candidates who are humble, hungry, smart, and bold, with strong business acumen, leadership skills, and passion for agricultural mechanization.


Minimum Requirements

Essential:

  • Grade 12 / NQF 4 certificate.

  • At least 3 years’ experience in a similar management role within agricultural mechanization.

  • Proven knowledge of New Holland, Case, and other mechanization implements and parts.

  • Understanding of the agricultural mechanization industry.

  • Proficiency in MS Office.

Advantageous:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in agriculture, mechanical engineering, or business management.

  • Previous experience in budgeting, stock management, and workshop oversight.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and monitor stock levels, budgets, and branch expenses.

  • Deliver exceptional customer service, resolving queries promptly.

  • Apply and enforce VKB Group policies across all branch operations.

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team.

  • Oversee workshop administration, claims, and operational processes.

  • Take full ownership of branch financial performance and profitability.

  • Build and maintain long-term customer relationships to drive growth.
