Role Overview
The Warehouse Manager will lead and oversee all aspects of the Tongaat Distribution Centre (DC). This includes managing warehouse operations, optimizing processes, achieving KPIs, and ensuring efficient inventory management. The role is ideal for a proactive, results-driven professional with strong leadership skills and extensive experience in warehouse and supply chain management.
Key Responsibilities

Ensure optimal DC layout and streamline warehouse operations to reduce transport costs and increase efficiency.

Oversee the Warehouse Management System (WMS) for accurate inventory control.

Manage inbound, put-away, replenishment, picking, and dispatch processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

Maintain and manage warehouse equipment to ensure operational reliability.

Monitor, report, and achieve KPI targets to drive performance.

Enforce policies and procedures to maintain consistent best practices across all warehouse operations.

Uphold health and safety standards to ensure a safe working environment.

Supervise warehouse security operations to protect assets and minimize risks.

Lead, motivate, and manage warehouse staff to ensure high productivity and a positive team environment.

Monitor shrinkage and inventory discrepancies, implementing corrective actions to minimize losses.
Minimum Requirements
-
Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management or related field.

Minimum 5 years’ experience in warehouse management or distribution centre leadership.

Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Proven ability to lead teams, manage operations, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge of FMCG supply chain practices and warehouse best practices.
