This role is ideal for individuals who are physically active, meticulous with stock, and committed to maintaining efficient warehouse workflows.
Role Overview
The Stock Handler will be responsible for receiving, sorting, storing, and transferring stock across warehouse sections and branches. You will ensure inventory accuracy, maintain organized storage areas, and support day-to-day warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities

Receive and offload stock from incoming shipments and containers.

Sort stock for storage according to warehouse sections and categories.

Transfer stock to correct bin locations and shelves, including mezzanine storage.

Return misplaced or wrongly pulled stock to the appropriate locations.

Handle bulk transfers between warehouses and branches in line with SOPs.

Load and offload stock for daily operations, deliveries, and courier trucks.

Clean, organise, and replenish stock shelves to maintain neat displays.

Apply barcode labels to shelves and products as required.

Rotate stock to prevent expiry or obsolescence (FIFO principles).

Assist with sectional stock-taking, cycle counts, and inventory verification.

Support Pickers in locating missing or misplaced stock for order fulfilment.

Identify, isolate, and report damaged or defective stock.

Respond to queries regarding stock availability and location.

Supply stock to different departments as needed.

Assist with picking, packing, and warehouse-related tasks when required.
Minimum Requirements
-
Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.

Previous warehouse or stockroom experience (advantageous but not essential).

Physically fit and able to lift and move stock safely.

Basic understanding of warehouse operations and stock rotation (FIFO).

Ability to operate manual handling equipment such as trolleys and pallet jacks.
Advantageous:
