About the Role
As a Senior Project Engineer within our NXTGEN department, you will be at the forefront of conceptualizing, designing, and implementing cutting-edge mechanical systems. Your expertise will be critical in developing hydro-mining solutions, managing complex projects, and integrating new technologies that shape the strategic direction of our group. This role combines deep technical design with project leadership and business development.
Key Responsibilities

Pump & Pipeline System Design: Lead the mechanical design and engineering of advanced pumping and piping systems for slurry transport and tailings management.

End-to-End Project Management: Plan, execute, monitor, and close strategic projects, managing scope, teams, resources, and budgets for successful delivery.

Innovation & R&D: Research and develop new tailings deposition, reclamation, and pumping models. Identify and implement new equipment and risk management solutions.

Stakeholder & Vendor Management: Coordinate with external consultants, suppliers, and internal stakeholders like EXCO, providing detailed progress reports.

Risk Management: Proactively identify project and technical risks, developing innovative engineering solutions to mitigate them.

Qualifications & Experience
Essential Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BEng or BSc with Honours).

Project Management qualification or proven experience is highly advantageous.
Required Experience:
-
5 to 10 years of relevant mechanical engineering experience.

Proven expertise in the technical design of pumping and piping systems.

Experience in tailings management within the mining industry will be a significant advantage.
