The role of Vending Assistant – Refreshments is central to the smooth functioning of catering operations within Tsebo. Based in Gqeberha, Eastern Cape, the successful candidate will assist in food preparation, operate cash registers, serve meals, and maintain cleanliness within the canteen and kitchen.

Key Responsibilities
As a Vending Assistant, your daily tasks will be diverse and engaging, covering both food service and kitchen support. Your duties will include:

Assisting with the preparation of meals, particularly salads and desserts.

Ensuring entrees are placed on the server at required timeframes.

Keeping the serving stations well-stocked, organised, and clean.

Recording and safely storing food leftovers.

Ensuring stock in your area of responsibility is correctly counted and signed over to the next shift.

Maintaining cleanliness and order in staff restaurant tables, kitchens, and other service areas.

Adhering strictly to Company and Statutory hygiene regulations to ensure compliance.

Preparing and submitting food samples when requested by management.

Delivering a consistently high level of customer service within the service area.

Reporting customer complaints promptly and, where possible, resolving them efficiently.
