Role Overview
The Repairs Technician role at Adendorff’s Brackenfell branch is designed for technically inclined individuals who enjoy working hands-on with machinery. You will be responsible for repairing, maintaining, and servicing a wide range of machinery, ensuring that customers receive reliable, safe, and high-performing products.

Key Responsibilities
As a Repairs Technician – Tools and Machinery, you will be responsible for:

Performing pre-delivery inspections, servicing, and repairs for Adendorff’s product range.

Conducting troubleshooting and preventative maintenance on various machinery.

Repairing and maintaining:
-
Power tools and welding machines.
-
Compressors.
-
Petrol and diesel engines.
-
Generators and small machinery.
-
PC boards (advantageous).
-

Ensuring proper housekeeping and cleaning of maintenance areas daily.

Requisitioning spares and consumables while ensuring safekeeping of base stock.

Working independently while maintaining high-quality repair standards.

Liaising with customers to explain repair outcomes and provide professional advice.
Skills and Competencies
The ideal candidate should demonstrate the following skills and qualities:

Strong technical knowledge in mechanical and electrical systems.

Hands-on experience with repairing small engines, power tools, and generators.

Ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues at all levels.

Qualifications and Experience
To be successful in this role, applicants should meet the following requirements:

Senior Certificate (Matric) is required.

2 to 5 years’ hands-on experience in maintenance and repairs of machinery.

Demonstrated ability to work with mechanical, electrical, and technical systems.

Experience in repairing PC boards will be an added advantage.

Proven track record in technical repairs with the ability to work independently.
