Role Overview
Adendorff is currently seeking a Junior Import Export Administrator to join its head office procurement team in Aeroton, Johannesburg South. This role is ideal for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has strong administrative expertise, and possesses knowledge of international shipping and regulatory processes. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring smooth import and export operations, accurate documentation, and effective coordination between suppliers, shipping agents, customs authorities, and internal departments.

Key Responsibilities
As an Import Export Administrator, you will be responsible for the following:

Verifying purchase orders to ensure compliance with payment terms and shipping standards.

Reviewing import and export documentation before submission to clearing agents.

Capturing procurement data and costings accurately on internal procurement systems.

Preparing and submitting clearing instruction forms to shipping and clearing agents.

Supporting the export process for Adendorff branches across South Africa.

Uploading, updating, and maintaining accurate procurement documentation for record-keeping and audits.

Following up with shipping agents regarding shipment progress and resolving discrepancies.

Liaising with warehouses to address logistical queries and delivery matters.

Assisting with NRCS, Customs, and SAPS inspections as needed.

Ensuring compliance with international shipping standards, customs regulations, and in-house policies.
Qualifications and Experience
To be successful in this role, applicants should meet the following requirements:

A diploma or relevant tertiary qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or International Trade.

A minimum of 5 years’ experience in an import/export or administrative role.

Strong knowledge of international shipping processes and documentation.

Familiarity with NRCS, Customs, and SAPS regulatory procedures.

Competency in Syspro or similar procurement and supply chain systems.

Strong Microsoft Excel skills with data analysis and reporting ability.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.

High attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to work under pressure in a deadline-driven environment.
