Role Overview
GALXBOY is recruiting vibrant and driven Sales Assistants to join the East Rand Mall store during the peak festive season. This temporary role runs from 1 November 2025 to 31 January 2026, covering one of the busiest periods in retail.
As a Sales Assistant, you will be at the heart of the brand experience, engaging with customers, maintaining store standards, and ensuring that every shopper enjoys excellent service. This position is perfect for young and motivated individuals who are enthusiastic about fashion, thrive in fast-paced environments, and are eager to be part of an iconic streetwear label.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service that reflects the GALXBOY lifestyle and brand culture.
- Gain expert knowledge of the products, including fits, fabrics, collections, and upcoming drops.
- Support visual merchandising by ensuring displays are eye-catching, on-brand, and consistently maintained.
- Assist customers with styling advice, recommendations, and outfit coordination.
- Maintain the store’s appearance through regular replenishment and housekeeping.
- Manage the demands of festive trade, including long queues, extended hours, and high traffic volumes.
- Process transactions quickly and accurately using the point-of-sale system.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet sales and service targets.
Qualifications and Experience
- Matric certificate or equivalent is recommended.
- Previous retail or sales experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Must be comfortable with flexible work schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- A keen interest in fashion, youth culture, and streetwear trends is essential.
- Ability to learn quickly, especially when it comes to product knowledge and point-of-sale systems.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-first approach.
