At the Cape Town branch, Fidelity is seeking a dedicated Retail Site Manager to oversee day-to-day operations at a prominent retail site. This role requires a proactive leader with excellent communication skills, a strong security background, and the ability to manage teams in a high-pressure retail environment.
Role Overview
The Retail Site Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of security operations at the designated retail site. This includes monitoring surveillance systems, coordinating patrols, ensuring compliance with security regulations, and overseeing a team of security guards.
The successful candidate will work closely with both clients and internal management to ensure the site runs efficiently, risks are minimized, and customer satisfaction is maintained at the highest standards.
This position is best suited to a professional who is PSIRA Grade A certified, experienced in retail operations, and capable of leading teams effectively in a dynamic and demanding environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all day-to-day security operations at the assigned retail site in Cape Town.
- Monitor CCTV cameras and ensure security protocols are strictly followed.
- Conduct regular patrols to identify potential risks and address vulnerabilities proactively.
- Manage, supervise, and motivate a team of security guards.
- Conduct performance reviews, provide mentorship, and address staff concerns effectively.
- Report directly to senior management on incidents, performance, and operational needs.
- Liaise with retail management to ensure seamless integration of security operations.
- Maintain compliance with PSIRA regulations, company standards, and applicable legislation.
- Develop and implement site-specific security measures to enhance safety.
- Investigate and resolve security incidents promptly, ensuring accurate documentation and reporting.
- Work flexibly, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, depending on site requirements.
Qualifications and Experience
- PSIRA registered Grade A certification (essential requirement).
- Proven supervisory or management experience in the security sector.
- Experience in retail site operations is highly advantageous.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead diverse teams.
- Strong leadership qualities, with a focus on team motivation and performance.
- Ability to problem-solve quickly and implement effective security solutions.
- Knowledge of risk management, loss prevention, and safety procedures.
- Computer literacy for reporting and operational tracking.
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and extended hours if needed.
