We are looking for a motivated Sales Consultant to join our team in Boksburg. Your role will focus on understanding customer needs, proposing suitable products and services, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. Purpose of the Role
Consult with customers to understand their requirements. Propose the right products and services based on quality, convenience, and price. Explain product functionalities and available services to customers. Deliver excellent sales service to maintain high customer satisfaction levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply a structured sales process to build strong customer relationships and achieve sales targets.
- Engage customers to understand their needs and guide them in selecting the right products.
- Provide personalized solutions, including product options and services such as delivery and installation.
- Identify new business opportunities by monitoring market trends.
- Follow up on sales leads to close deals effectively.
- Liaise with the Department Manager and merchandisers on preferred products.
- Maintain excellent store condition, ensuring layout, cleanliness, pricing, stock availability, and visual merchandising standards are met.
- Participate in the department’s commercial action plan.
- Assist customers throughout their entire project journey—before, during, and after sales.
- Support store operations by keeping shelves fully stocked.
Requirements
- Grade 12 or NQF 4 equivalent.
- Proven experience as a sales consultant, with hardware retail experience advantageous.
- Passionate about delivering outstanding customer service.
- Friendly, confident, and engaging personality.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of pricing methodologies.
- Proficient in English (written and verbal).
- Initiative-driven and curious.
- Effective relationship management skills.
- Hardworking and leads by example.
- Ability to manage a customer portfolio through all sales stages.
- Competent in using various communication channels including email, WhatsApp, and phone.
- Ability to multitask efficiently.
