Purpose of the Role
The General Assistant in our Butchery Department is responsible for supporting smooth day-to-day operations. This includes receiving and off-loading stock, arranging items in fridges and on shelves, merchandising, and maintaining cleanliness in the store. The role requires energy, reliability, and the ability to work well as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
As a General Assistant, you will play an essential role in ensuring the store runs efficiently and maintains the highest standards. Your responsibilities will include:
- Receiving and off-loading stock accurately and safely.
- Pre-packing products for display and sale.
- Merchandising shelves, fridges, and displays to company standards.
- Cleaning work areas to ensure a hygienic environment.
- Reporting on stock and conducting counts where required.
- Maintaining housekeeping and safety standards.
- Working collaboratively as part of the team to achieve daily operational goals.
Requirements
Educational Background:
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Ability to communicate fluently in English (written and verbal)

- Strong organisational skills
- Clear and confident communication skills in English
