Adendorff Machinery Mart is offering a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Shop Assistant to join our Kimberley branch. This position is ideal for someone eager to build a career in sales, customer service, and the tools and machinery industry. Position Overview
The successful candidate will play a vital role in daily branch operations, including sales, customer service, merchandising, stock control, and assembling/disassembling products for display. Previous experience in a retail sales environment, particularly within the hardware, tools, or DIY sector, will be an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver excellent customer service to all clients
- Assist with sales and provide product recommendations
- Maintain merchandising and in-store displays to company standards
- Conduct accurate stock-taking and manage stock control
- Assemble and disassemble products for the sales floor
- Follow all general retail branch procedures
- Collaborate with team members to achieve branch targets
Minimum Requirements
- Senior Certificate (Matric)
- Previous retail sales, merchandising, or customer service experience (preferred)
- Technical knowledge of tools and hardware products (advantageous)
- Strong teamwork, reliability, and honesty
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Salary and Benefits
- Negotiable salary (based on experience)

- Monday – Friday: 08:00 – 17:00
- Saturday: 08:00 – 13:00
