Adendorff Machinery Mart is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Retail Shop Assistant to join our Brackenfell branch. Position Overview
The role involves supporting the branch in all retail operations, from sales and customer service to merchandising and stock control. Prior experience in a retail sales environment, especially within a tools, hardware, or DIY setting, will be highly advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service to walk-in clients
- Assist with sales and product recommendations
- Maintain merchandising and product displays to company standards
- Conduct stock-taking and ensure accurate stock control
- Follow general retail branch procedures
- Contribute to team success by supporting colleagues where needed
Minimum Requirements
- Senior Certificate (Matric)
- Experience in retail sales, customer service, stock control, or merchandising (preferred)
- Technical knowledge of tools or hardware products (advantageous)
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team
- Honest, reliable, and self-motivated
Salary and Benefits

- Monday – Friday: 08:00 – 17:00
- Saturday: 08:00 – 13:00
