Bidvest Facilities Management is seeking a professional and customer-focused Receptionist to join its BFM Operations 1 Division in Gqeberha/Port Elizabeth. Role Purpose

The Receptionist will provide efficient front-desk service to both customers and visitors, ensuring a professional and welcoming experience while supporting day-to-day office and administrative functions.


Key Responsibilities

Front Desk Operations

  • Operate the front desk by receiving calls, taking messages, and making calls on behalf of employees.
  • Welcome and direct visitors to their appointments in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Manage the booking of boardrooms and parking facilities.

Administrative Support

  • Take minutes during official meetings, type them, and circulate accordingly.
  • Capture and file building audit sheet data.
  • Order, process, and distribute stationery for employees.
  • Sort incoming post and contact recipients for collection.
  • Communicate regularly with employees via email on office management matters.

Project and Operational Assistance

  • Provide administrative support to different business sections.
  • Assist with administrative tasks for projects and special assignments.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Matric / Senior Certificate.
  • Certificate in Receptionist, Administration, or Secretarial studies.
  • Valid SA Driver’s License.
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in switchboard operation and/or a secretarial role.
  • Training in administration, reception, or switchboard in a customer-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook.
