Bidvest Facilities Management is seeking a skilled and experienced Project Manager to join its BFM Operations 1 Division in Johannesburg South. Role Purpose
The Project Manager will oversee the entire project lifecycle, ensuring all project team members and disciplines deliver on agreed timeframes, quality standards, and budgets. This role is about “doing projects right”—driving execution, managing stakeholder relationships, and ensuring projects align with both business objectives and client needs.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Relations
- Manage and maintain positive customer relationships through successful project delivery.
- Provide consistent feedback and reporting to clients.
- Engage with internal work streams to ensure smooth execution of projects.
- Deliver projects in line with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Identify both stated and unstated client needs and propose project solutions accordingly.
Financial Management
- Oversee projects in line with budget and fee allocations.
- Ensure adherence to departmental and regional budget plans.
- Maintain accurate cash flow forecasts and balance actual expenses with planned expenditure.
- Finalize and close projects financially upon completion.
Business Processes
- Ensure strict adherence to relevant project management and business processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve current policies, procedures, and workflows.
- Produce accurate reports and maintain effective communication using various systems.
- Manage resources effectively while ensuring compliance with SHE, Quality, and Risk Management processes.
Learning & Growth
- Commit to ongoing professional development to enhance expertise and leadership capabilities.
Qualifications and Skills
- Matric / Grade 12 (Senior Certificate).
- Formal qualification in Project Management or a tertiary qualification in Building, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Professional registration with a recognized Project Management or Engineering Association (advantageous).
- Valid SA Driver’s License.
- At least 3 years’ related experience with solid knowledge of project management principles.
- Proficiency in MS Office, MS Projects, and SAP.
