Empact Group, a leading provider of food and facilities solutions, is looking for an organised and detail-oriented Storeman to manage stock levels and ensure efficient inventory operations at their Cape Town site. This permanent role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment with high attention to logistics and stock control.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent
- 2–3 years of experience in a storeman, stock control, or warehouse role
- Previous experience in the food or FMCG industry is advantageous
- Computer literacy (MS Office, particularly Excel)
- Working knowledge of stocktaking systems and inventory databases
- Physically fit and able to lift, carry, and move stock

- Familiarity with safety and hygiene procedures
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming stock deliveries
- Accurately record goods received and reconcile with purchase orders
- Organise and maintain stock storage areas for easy access and safety
- Monitor stock levels and conduct routine stock counts
- Issue stock to relevant departments as per requisitions
- Ensure proper rotation of stock (FIFO principle)
- Maintain accurate records in stock management systems
- Prepare inventory reports and assist in monthly stocktaking
- Follow health, hygiene, and safety standards in the store environment
