Key Responsibilities
As a Receiving Clerk, your main focus will be to ensure the smooth handling and accurate recording of all incoming stock. Your duties will include:
- Receiving all incoming stock and verifying them against supplier delivery notes
- Ensuring products are correctly labeled and documented upon arrival
- Capturing received stock into the system and verifying stock accuracy
- Reporting any discrepancies, damages, or missing items immediately
- Organizing stock in appropriate locations in the receiving area or warehouse
- Assisting with daily and periodic stock takes
- Following company policies related to receiving and stock handling
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric certificate
- Prior experience in a similar receiving or stock control role will be an advantage
- Computer literacy and the ability to work with inventory systems
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Punctual, dependable, and self-motivated
