As a Store Manager, you will lead the overall store operations, ensuring excellent customer experience, efficient staff performance, and profitability. You’ll be expected to set the standard in customer care, merchandising, housekeeping, and administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day store operations to ensure smooth workflow and customer satisfaction.
- Lead and develop a team of store staff by example, coaching and motivating them to meet performance targets.
- Drive sales and achieve turnover goals through effective planning and execution.
- Maintain high standards of visual merchandising and store presentation.
- Ensure accurate cash handling and till operations, minimizing overs and unders.
- Apply all Ackermans’ policies, procedures, and operational standards consistently.
- Maintain excellent stock control and assist in reducing shrinkage and stock losses.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Grade 12 / Matric
- Proven retail experience, preferably in a supervisory or management role
- Strong customer care and communication skills
- High levels of integrity, punctuality, and reliability
- Attention to detail and accuracy, particularly at the point of sale
- Strong leadership ability with experience managing teams
- Familiarity with store performance KPIs, merchandising, and team performance
