Ackermans is hiring a P27 Shop Assistant / Cashier for their Ferndale store in Randburg. This is a part-time role ideal for someone who is energetic, customer-focused, and ready to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Customer Service
- Assist shoppers in locating products
- Handle customer queries and complaints professionally
- Deliver a positive in-store shopping experience
- Cashiering Duties
- Process all payments (cash, card, Lay-By, refunds)
- Accurately manage till operations and balance tills daily
- Report discrepancies and escalate issues to management
- Merchandising
- Ensure accurate pricing and product display
- Maintain stock levels on the sales floor
- Housekeeping and visual presentation of the store
- Stay updated on current promotions
- Loss Prevention
- Ensure all products are tagged correctly
- Participate in stock takes and inventory counts
- Report suspicious behavior or shoplifting to management
- Ackermans Values

Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Grade 12 / Matric
- Previous retail or cashier experience (advantageous)
Skills & Attributes
- Strong communication skills (English essential; other languages beneficial)
- Excellent customer service
- High energy and self-motivated
- Target-driven and goal-focused
- Reliable, honest, and hardworking
