Role Overview
Pedros is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Cashiers to join their team in Vryheid, KwaZulu-Natal. This role is central to delivering excellent customer service and driving sales. As a cashier, you’ll be the face of the restaurant for every guest, ensuring fast, friendly, and efficient service at the front of house. Key Responsibilities
- Provide a high standard of customer service by promptly and accurately processing transactions at the point of sale
- Manage various payment types accurately in line with company SOPs
- Increase average ticket values through effective upselling and suggestive selling techniques
- Educate customers about current promotions and new menu items
- Ensure cleanliness and hygiene of the cashier area and surrounding front-of-house space
- Maintain stock levels at the front of house to ensure continuous service availability
- Adhere to operational procedures and standards at all times to uphold quality and service expectations
Qualifications and Experience
- National Senior Certificate preferred (Matric)
- Basic computer literacy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Well-developed numeracy and literacy skills
- At least 1 year of experience as a retail cashier, preferably in a quick-service restaurant (QSR) environment
- Strong customer orientation and the ability to work under pressure
