As a Call Centre Agent at Pedros’ head office in Newlands East, KwaZulu-Natal, you’ll play a key role in ensuring that each customer receives a seamless ordering experience. Role Overview
The Call Centre Agent is responsible for handling inbound calls, assisting customers with menu information, taking accurate food orders for collection or delivery, and communicating effectively with Pedros outlets. You will be the bridge between customer satisfaction and store operations — a crucial part of the guest experience.
This is a contract position based at the Pedros Head Office, offering exposure to a fast-paced environment, professional development, and hands-on training.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage incoming calls with professionalism, enthusiasm, and efficiency.
- Accurately take customer orders, including special requests, and relay details to the correct stores.
- Communicate menu information clearly, including product descriptions, meal options, and combo upgrades.
- Modify or cancel orders based on customer instructions and coordinate changes with store staff.
- Use upselling and cross-selling techniques to promote additional menu items, beverages, and services.
- Ensure all customer interactions reflect the Pedros brand — courteous, helpful, and attentive.
- Maintain accurate call logs, order records, and customer preferences when applicable.
- Respond to customer complaints and escalate issues to management when necessary.
- Follow company call scripts and customer service policies while using discretion for unique scenarios.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12) Certificate is required.
- Previous Call Centre or Customer Service experience is strongly preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Strong telephone etiquette and active listening skills.
- Basic to intermediate computer literacy is a must — including knowledge of MS Office and order entry systems.
- Familiarity with handling inbound calls and multi-tasking in high-pressure environments.
