Role Overview
The Branch Manager role is a dynamic leadership position responsible for overseeing all operations, sales, marketing, technical functions, and administrative duties within the Houghton branch. The ideal candidate will drive operational excellence, boost profitability, support crime-reduction initiatives, and cultivate a culture of accountability and performance.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Strategic Direction

Provide visionary leadership, setting clear performance expectations.

Align branch activities with the overall vision and strategy of Fidelity ADT.

Make sound decisions that contribute to the long-term sustainability of the branch.
Financial Management and Budget Planning

Develop annual business and sales plans aligned with regional goals.

Manage branch profit and loss statements to maintain profitability.

Ensure effective revenue collection and accurate forecasting.
Sales and Business Growth

Set and achieve aggressive branch sales targets.

Assist sales consultants in closing deals and meeting targets.

Analyse sales performance to guide business development decisions.

Oversee the onboarding and support of Dealers and Independent Installer Partners (IIPs).
Operational Excellence

Implement and monitor planning and production controls to optimise efficiency.

Maintain exceptional service levels and ensure high customer satisfaction.

Manage a community-focused, proactive security service within the branch.

Supervise Area Managers to ensure consistent operational excellence.
Marketing and Brand Visibility

Lead all branch-level marketing activations and strategies.

Enhance the brand’s digital presence through social media engagement.

Drive customer perception initiatives and act on survey insights.
Health, Safety and Compliance
-
Maintain strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies.

Ensure full compliance with South African laws and internal company policies.
Commercial and Customer Relations

Regularly engage with clients to assess satisfaction and gather feedback.

Work closely with the sales team to tailor solutions for commercial clients.

Explore new market opportunities to expand product offerings.
People and Performance Management

Coach and develop team members to enhance performance and growth.

Handle recruitment, onboarding, and succession planning.

Address HR-related matters and ensure staff alignment with company goals.
Community Engagement and Business Development

Identify and pursue opportunities in Residential Guarding and bulk business.

Drive partnerships that boost community safety and company presence.

Oversee the profitability of Residential Guarding operations.
Attrition and Retention Strategies

Monitor and manage attrition, implementing strategies to reduce churn.

Drive reconnection efforts and limit financial exposure to bad debt.
Qualifications and Experience
-
Post-matric qualification in General Management (advantageous).
-
Sales, Marketing, or Management diploma is a plus.

Minimum of 3 years in a Mid-Management role.

Security Industry experience preferred.

Grade B Security Certificate (to be obtained if not already held).

Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management.

Computer literacy in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint essential).
