Role Overview
The Branch Administrator position is a permanent role based at the Edenvale Branch, reporting directly to the Branch Manager. The purpose of this position is to ensure the efficient administration and coordination of the Cash-in-Transit (CIT) department’s daily operational needs. The role involves extensive administrative responsibilities, providing support to multiple departments, ensuring accurate records, and facilitating effective internal and external communication within the branch and across departments.
Candidates should be proactive, detail-oriented, and possess strong administrative and organisational skills. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining workflow consistency, supporting recruitment and payroll processes, and handling sensitive information with confidentiality and care.
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Matric certificate or equivalent qualification (Grade 12 minimum).

Clear criminal record.

A minimum of 2 years of proven administrative experience, preferably within a corporate or operations environment.

Strong computer literacy, with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
-
Must be able to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.

Previous experience in office management or recruitment administration is advantageous.

Must be willing and able to work overtime when necessary.

Own transport is advantageous and may be required for extended responsibilities or shifts.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
As the Branch Administrator, your day-to-day responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
Administrative Coordination and Filing

Ensure all documentation is filed correctly and that the filing system is up to date and accessible.

Implement archiving procedures for historical data and documents to maintain regulatory and operational compliance.
Communication and Reception Support
-
Act as the first point of contact for telephone communication, handling incoming calls and taking accurate messages.

Handle internal and external inquiries professionally, ensuring issues are directed to the appropriate personnel and resolved efficiently.
Recruitment and Onboarding Support

Provide support to the Recruitment Department by assisting with onboarding processes including preparing hiring documentation, organising induction schedules, and communicating with candidates throughout the hiring process.
Payroll and Timekeeping

Process and compile daily posting sheets, verifying hours worked and submitting them to the Payroll Department.

Submit and track pay queries raised by employees to ensure timely resolution.

Monitor, calculate, and submit vehicle hours and kilometre data for accurate client billing and reporting.
Documentation and Data Processing

Process and print monthly code lists and client information to support the CIT department’s planning and security processes.

Compile meeting minutes and circulate them to relevant stakeholders.

Maintain and update daily, weekly, and monthly reports, adhering to internal timelines and standards.

Handle Fidelity Access Control System tasks such as access authorisation, enrolment, and scanning.
Procurement and Inventory Control

Place orders for uniforms, cleaning supplies, beverages, stationery, and staff ID cards in line with approved budgets.

Monitor stock levels and coordinate with suppliers for replenishments.
General Clerical Support

Provide general administrative assistance to the Branch Manager and departmental heads when needed.

Ensure that all legal and compliance documents such as posters, notices, and policies are up to date and visible on site notice boards.

Maintain overall administrative efficiency within the branch by streamlining processes and identifying areas for improvement.
